// default 300ms
vp check --watch
vp check --watch --debounce <ms>

Add --watch and --debounce to rerun checks after file changes. Run checks serially and filter duplicate file events and editor artifacts.

Reject --fix with --watch until autofix support is implemented.

Partially addresses #3218.

I'd like to implement watch mode as a first step toward this feature.

The initial PR would add:

  • vp check --watch
  • A configurable debounce interval via --debounce <ms>
  • Serial check execution and deduplication of unchanged file events

Support for --fix --watch and --on-success would be left for follow-up work.

Would this incremental approach be acceptable?

Security Analysis is failing on RUSTSEC-2026-0387 in crypto-bigint 0.5.5,
an existing transitive dependency through vp_js_runtime → pgp → cx448.

The same version is present on main. Could this dependency update be
handled separately from this PR?
