Backport of
8638c43("fixed logic flaw in buffer_get") — this is CVE-2025-13654.The fix is a one-liner in
src/libduc/buffer.c. Cherry-pick hit only a trivial ChangeLog collision because the fix commit added four bullet points at the top of ChangeLog that overlapped with master's1.5.0-rc1section header. I dropped the ChangeLog hunk (master's changelog format is different) — only the actual code fix is in this PR.Commit preserves the original author (@zevv).
