listener-processing logic to exclude all 127.0.0.0/8 addresses, IPv4-mapped

scope suffix before classification. Add coverage for a listener on 127.0.1.1:22
and preserve advertisement for non-loopback listeners.
- Line 25: Update the Avahi publish setup in the service-spawn function to
advertise a machine-specific instance name: read the hostname using the Zig

non-empty, and fall back to “Talkies” on failure or empty output. Manage the

Publish a per-machine service name instead of the fixed name Talkies.
Every Linux machine advertises the instance name Talkies. If two machines are on the same LAN, Avahi resolves the name conflict by renaming one of them, for example to Talkies #2. On Android, SshHostDiscovery uses info.serviceName as DiscoveredSshHost.name. NearbyHostCard shows that name, and toProfile stores it as the saved profile name. As a result, users see identical or numbered entries and cannot tell which machine is which. onServiceLost also matches on this name.
Put the machine hostname in the instance name, for example Talkies on <hostname>. Fall back to Talkies if the hostname cannot be read.

Treat the whole 127.0.0.0/8 range and mapped loopback addresses as loopback.
This check excludes only 127.0.0.1 and ::1. A listener on another loopback address passes the check, for example 127.0.1.1:22 (the Debian/Ubuntu hostname mapping) or [::ffff:127.0.0.1]:22. The daemon then advertises an SSH endpoint that the phone cannot reach, and the Android connection attempt fails. The docs promise that Talkies advertises only when "ss reports a non-loopback SSH listener".

Refresh keyboardSelected after the input method picker closes.
showInputMethodPicker() opens a system dialog. That dialog does not pause the activity, so ON_RESUME does not fire after the user picks Talkies. The status is refreshed only on launch and on ON_RESUME. As a result, KeyboardSetupCard keeps "SETUP" and "Choose keyboard" until the user leaves and returns to the activity.
Call refreshKeyboardStatus() from onWindowFocusChanged(true). Another option is to observe Settings.Secure.DEFAULT_INPUT_METHOD with a ContentObserver.

Clear pendingMicrophoneAction when the settings dialog is cancelled or dismissed.
The settings dialog can retain the pending dictation action after the user selects Cancel or dismisses the dialog. If the user later grants microphone permission in Android Settings and returns to Talkies, ON_RESUME invokes that stale action without a new dictation tap.
Keep the current resume behavior for the explicit Open Settings flow. Clear the action only when the user cancels or dismisses the settings dialog, because that flow's text tells the user to return and try again.

Do not treat a dismissed first prompt as a permanent denial.
The user can close the first system prompt with Back or by tapping outside it. In that case, shouldShowRequestPermissionRationale returns false. microphonePermissionAsked is already true because Line 500-501 sets it before the launch. The code then shows "Android has blocked another permission prompt", but Android still allows another prompt.
Store a denial count in permissionPreferences. Show the settings dialog only after a request that follows an earlier denial. Use the stored count together with checkSelfPermission and shouldShowRequestPermissionRationale, as the retrieved learning recommends.
Based on learnings: "persists a 'has requested before' flag ... to correctly distinguish first-run, rationale-needed, and permanently-denied states".

Serialize resolveService calls. Concurrent resolves are dropped silently.
onServiceFound calls manager.resolveService immediately for each service it finds. Before API 34, the legacy NsdManager.resolveService allows only one active resolve. Any other resolve fails with FAILURE_ALREADY_ACTIVE. Discovery usually reports several services in a burst. On a LAN with more than one advertised _ssh._tcp host, every resolve after the first fails. onResolveFailed is a no-op, so those hosts never appear in the list. The app's API 28 baseline includes these Android versions.
Queue the services that are found and resolve them one at a time. Start the next resolve in both onServiceResolved and onResolveFailed. Clear the queue in stop().

Give the IME window a lifecycle owner before you attach ComposeView.
ComposeView needs a ViewTreeLifecycleOwner and a ViewTreeSavedStateRegistryOwner on its view tree to create its window recomposer. InputMethodService is not a LifecycleOwner. This class does not set these owners on the input method window. When the keyboard view attaches, ComposeView.onAttachedToWindow should throw IllegalStateException: ViewTreeLifecycleOwner not found. The input method then crashes each time it opens, so Talkies voice typing does not work. Unit tests do not show this failure because they do not attach the view to a window.
Implement LifecycleOwner and SavedStateRegistryOwner in the service. Move the lifecycle through its states in onCreate, onStartInputView, onFinishInputView, and onDestroy. Set both owners on window.window!!.decorView.
