Summary

A one-line search field at the top of the Collections and Filters panes, narrowing the pane's tree to matching rows. Built for reaching a collection at the bottom of a long list, or a Filters option a few levels deep, without walking the tree.

Behaviour

• Opening a pane (c, f, Tab, click) still lands on its rows.
• The field is reached by ↑ from the tree's top row, or Ctrl+/ (also ctrl+underscore, which legacy terminals send).
• In the field:
  • Letters type as text; shortcuts are off, as in any input.
  • ↓ / Enter go to the first matching row.
  • ← with the caret at the start collapses the pane, text or not.
  • Esc clears the text; on an empty field it goes to Results as before.
• Matching:
  • Case-insensitive substring, folded via fnd.text_canon.fold.
  • A matching row keeps its subtree; parents of a match open; the matched text is bold.
• The search never changes scope, selection or the persisted open/closed state.
  • It survives rebuilds, so toggling a row keeps the filter.
  • Folds made during a search are held aside and dropped when it clears.
  • Clearing restores the previous tree and the last-used cursor row.
• Tab and Shift+Tab skip the fields.
• Footer shows ^/ Find in both panes; the field has its own hints.

Implementation

• fnd/tui/widgets/pane_search.py: the PaneSearch input, the prune pass over a rebuilt tree, and the SearchHighlightLabel mixin.
• ScopeController gives each row a text and prunes after every rebuild. The cursor anchor is restored by row key over the live tree.
• Collections now sits in a #collections_pane container, like Filters. The saved collapsed_panels id migrates.
• Filters order is field, then the clear bar, then the tree. Neither is docked any more; both docked to the top before and overlapped.
• Sidebar allocation counts the extra row.
• Outline is left out for now; the widget is shared, so it can be added later.

Testing

• tests/test_sidebar_pane_search.py: 30 tests covering the key paths, persistence, cursor restore, the expand-event race, and layout.
• Each review fix has a negative control (the test fails with the fix reverted).
• make batch-close green: ruff, pyright 0 errors, 6604 passed, 5 skipped, 12 tmux harness scenarios.
• Driven live in tmux against a real index; typing in Filters re-renders in about 150 ms with 65 tags.
