Pushing a tag like v1.0.0 builds and tests on Windows, publishes the single-file exe stamped with the tag's version, writes a SHA-256 checksum, and creates a draft GitHub Release with both files and the notes from .github/release-notes/<tag>.md. What changes for the user
Before: the only way to get the exe was to dig through the Actions tab for a green run and download a zipped artifact, stamped with a build number like 0.1.57.
After: pushing a tag such as
v1.0.0builds and tests the app on Windows and creates a draft GitHub Release withProDHCPServer-v1.0.0-win-x64.exe(version 1.0.0 shown in the app) and its SHA-256 checksum, using the notes in.github/release-notes/v1.0.0.md. Nothing is public until someone presses Publish on the Releases page. How

.github/workflows/release.ymlruns onv*tags: checks the tag looks likevX.Y.Zand has a notes file, runs the same build, Core tests, Windows integration tests, publish and smoke test asbuild.yml, thengh release create --draft(or uploads with--clobberif the draft already exists, so a re-run is safe). The release notes summarise Phases 1 to 3 and warn that the exe is unsigned (SmartScreen, Defender ASR).Testing
