TRAPPIST-1e and Proxima Centauri b showed only time means of their climate models. Each now has a "Starlight on the ground" stepper from the Met Office Unified Model runs of Cohen et al. 2023 (Zenodo 7752337, CC BY 4.0): the starlight reaching the ground in the release's daily snapshots, through one cloud cycle from the paper's Table 3. TRAPPIST-1e has 20 steps a day apart (19.4-day cycle); Proxima b has 16 steps 10 days apart (157.5-day cycle). One scale, 0 to 600 W/m²; the defaults are unchanged. The simulation route gained steppers, and the steps of one NetCDF-4 run share their structure's byte ranges (3.8 MB kept of 16.6 GB). Measured on the release: a day-side cell's light changes by a median 33 W/m² a day on TRAPPIST-1e, while its surface temperature changes 0.6 K. Method: TRAPPIST-1e README, Proxima b README.
Limits: model snapshots of an undetected atmosphere; the warm and dry runs are not shown.
