quest(m1): finish the dependency and alternatives audit - #6169
Conversation
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
RUSTSEC-2026-0381, 0382, and 0383: rustls-webpki 0.103.16 rejects the distrusted emSign intermediates, and webpki-roots / webpki-root-certs 1.0.10 drop the emSign ECC root. Security fixes bypass the cooldown. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
infra/nix pinned wrangler 4.147 and its miniflare's sharp 0.35.4 (GHSA-wq5f-xc86-pv6w). Resolved with a 7-day minimum release age, matching the Dependabot cooldown. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
infra/mbx and infra/nix landed with their own Bun lockfiles but no Dependabot entry and no `just js audit` coverage, the same drift infra/moq-sh had. Dependabot now globs infra/*, and the audit walks every tracked bun.lock. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
GHSA-vfgh-jcmw-g37q and GHSA-gfr2-rv44-r23c, reached through vitepress-plugin-llms. Bun has no transitive-only update, so the lock entry is bumped in place; a frozen install verifies its integrity. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
gstreamer-rs 0.25 needs Rust 1.92, so moq-gst declares its own rust-version like moq-relay and moq-cli, leaving the 1.91 workspace floor for the libraries. The unreleased MIGRATE entry now names 0.25 and glib 0.22. libspa still holds system-deps 7, so system-deps is a new duplicate until pipewire-rs moves. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The packages alias @typescript/lib-dom to npm:@types/web@^0.0.350, which pins one 0.0.x release, and Dependabot never proposed a newer one: 0.0.350 shipped in June. 0.0.358 is the newest outside the 7-day cooldown, and every package type-checks and builds on it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
test/smoke/flake.lock arrived with the smoke suite (#6046) without update coverage; its nixpkgs dates from May. It gets its own entry so a toolchain bump, which must carry the matching playwright pin, never blocks the root flake. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
`just js workers` and its dispatch scope listed four Workers, so infra/nix's bundle and the infra/mbx and infra/nix lockfiles were never checked. Walk every tracked bun.lock outside the workspace, dry-run each one with a wrangler config, and scope the check to all of infra/. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The m2 successor waits on the release cut and carries this run's baselines, the update kinds Dependabot misses, and what is still waiting on upstream. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Update the audit test for the discovered lockfiles
When the nightly workflow runs just gh test, sh/js/audit.test.py still omits infra/mbx and infra/nix from PROJECTS, and its fake git command emits a directory rather than the lockfile paths this loop now expects. Running that test at this commit fails all three cases, so the nightly remains red until the fixture and expected projects are updated with this script.

Fixed in b8dd66a. The fake git now answers rev-parse and ls-files with lockfile paths, and the hand-kept coverage list is gone, since the script discovers lockfiles on its own. python3 sh/js/audit.test.py passes.
(Written by Claude Opus 5.5)
audit.sh now walks `git ls-files '*bun.lock'`, so the fake git answers that query, and the hand-kept project list that guarded coverage goes away: coverage now holds by construction. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Cover the smoke Bun manifest in the same Dependabot update.
The smoke repository contract requires test/smoke/clients/js/package.json to keep its exact playwright pin equal to the flake’s PLAYWRIGHT_VERSION. The smoke Nix Dependabot entry cannot update that manifest because the Bun configuration does not cover /test/smoke/clients/js.
Add the smoke Bun directory and bind it and the smoke Nix entry to one multi-ecosystem-group. This places both updates in one pull request. Dependabot grouping does not enforce a version match, so the pull request must still set playwright to the exact flake version.

Document the new source-build Rust minimum
Update doc/bin/gstreamer.md alongside this per-crate MSRV increase. Users building or embedding moq-gst with Rust 1.91 now fail before compilation because the package requires 1.92, while the public GStreamer installation page still gives the source-build command without mentioning the new prerequisite.

Runs the m1 dependency and alternatives audit, a day after the m0 run (moq-dev/moq#6053). The quest is deleted and the m2 run is scheduled behind the release cut, with this run's baselines.

configfeature in uniffi_bindgen 0.32. That feature reads uniffi'saskama.toml, so it can't be turned off. It only reaches the generator-only uniffi fork and never ships. Cargo.lock: 1,081 packages, 91 registry names with several versions (109 extra). Root bun.lock: 660 names, 72 with several versions (81 extra). The successor quest says how to count these. m0's counts mixed in the deliberate path-vs-registry moq-auth/moq-pattern pairs and the git uniffi fork.
